If you have a working backup of your entire Joomla site, you can get away with only backing up individual tables in your database if the work you are doing and may want to undo is limited in scope. How to backup individual tables in your Joomla database is what today's Maintenance Monday live stream is all about.

  • The video is about backing up individual tables in a Joomla database.
    - The presenter is Tim Davis, a Joomla enthusiast.
    - Purpose of backing up individual tables: Avoid having to backup the entire Joomla site or database when making minor changes to specific tables.
    - Advantage: Useful for large databases to easily restore in case of errors without reinstalling the entire database.
    - Steps:
    - Access the control panel of the hosting account.
    - Use PHPMyAdmin to access the database.
    - Choose the specific table to back up (example: 'jaws_content').
    - Opt for a custom export to select specific options.
    - Export the chosen table while excluding unnecessary data.
    - Store the backup file locally.
    - Make changes to the table content (using DB replacer as shown in the example).
    - Show how to mess up the content for demonstration purposes.
    - Drop the damaged table.
    - Import the previously backed-up table to restore the content.
    - Mention of future live streams and topics to be covered.
    - Mention of a Joomla extension called "smart slider com" that Mary and José have been using.
    - Presenter mentions having sleep issues affecting his productivity.
    - Presenter engages with viewers' comments about what they are working on.
    - Mention of upcoming live streams and invitation for Joomla enthusiasts to share their stories or tutorials.
    - Presenter faces technical difficulties in the previous livestream due to syncing issues.
    - Mention of Mr. Webb's video showcasing a feature of Smart Slider 3.
    - The video ends with the presenter interacting with the viewers.
