I recently tried to shut down some features and extensions on a Joomla site, only to find out later they were still running like Zombies! In this video I will show you what I forgot and did wrong when trying to scale back that website.

  • The video discusses issues with Joomla features and extensions that continue running despite being turned off.
    - The speaker, Tim Davis, works on Joomla sites and shares tutorials and tips for building and maintaining them.
    - He recently converted a website from Joomla 3 to Joomla 4, and after making changes, some features continued to function unexpectedly.
    - He noticed that a form on the website was being abused by a bot, leading to email blacklist problems.
    - The issue was caused because certain functions were not properly turned off or unpublished.
    - Even if the menu is not visible, URLs can still be accessible through search engines or bots.
    - The speaker demonstrates how to unpublish forms and articles in the Joomla 4 administrator control panel.
    - He plans to turn the website into a static site and suggests using redirects or htaccess rules to handle traffic appropriately.
    - Viewers are encouraged to subscribe to the channel for more Joomla-related content.
